At RTM Personal Training we work closely with partner organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire, to work on ideas and projects. One of the organisations we work with is, the Leicester Training and Research Group. They specialise in physical and mental training aswell as training clients in Martial Arts and Outdoor Training. I have just finished putting together some sword fighting routines which are based around 10 -25 moves. These routines incorporate 1 sword and 2 swords routines. These r outines will get you moving in a more imag i native way aswell as developing your fitness. For anybody who is interested in this form of movement please talk to me or call me for more information.

I have a list of attributes that I expect all my clients to be able to do after a couple of weeks of training. These skills are basic attributes which when most people journey int o adulthood they lose they ability or will to do. Such activities are designed into your human DNA to get you out of trouble or allow you to search for food. Running, Climbing and Rolling are to list a few. Fitness studios are not designed to train these skills. This is where you have to go outside or find a large room with the appropriate equipm ent to train these skills. Some people question why should I learn to climb a tree and I always answer, that if a 100lb Rottweiler was chasing you and you could climb a tree, there is your escape route. It may sound extreme but as a First Aid Teacher once said.. "isn't it better to have these skills, just in case?"

I constantly look around for different environments to train and challenge my personal training clients. One of my regular locations is Abbey Park. This historical landmark is not only a scenery of picturesque opportunities but it is also a great place to take personal training clients on mini runs, cycling, roller blading and many other such activities. Also nature is a great stress reliever, so you get a two for the price of one, on a quality workout. I offer personal training services at a reasonable rate and there is no need to block book. You can book single sessions as frequent or as infrequent as you like. I always tell my personal training clients that a little bit of extra knowledge and motivation goes a long way. Plus you shouldn't need a personal trainer all the time. I am currently operating in Leicester, Loughborough and the Leicestershire area. Please call for further information.

In the next couple of weeks i will be putting together a session based around sword fights i have used in the films i have worked in.  The session will be based around choreographed sword fights and will be broken down and taught step by step.  Again this is just another way to add an activity to your fitness training.

Welcome to RTM Personal training offering personal training in Leicester, Loughborough and Leicestershire.
In Leicester I train my clients at St Margarets Pastures Sports Centre. This facility is a nice quiet gym, which gives me access to cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, kettlebells, strongman equipment and many other types of training apparatus. It is also adjacent to Abbey Park which gives access to some excellent outdoor training activities. If you need advice or motivation in getting started on a training program, please contact me and i will see if i can help.
